Materials Supervisor
We are seeking an experience and motivated Materials Supervisor that will be responsible for leading hourly teams that unload, store, and deliver materials to support production in an automotive manufacturing assembly plant. Responsibilities include but not limited to :
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the safety, delivery, cost, and quality and morale of hourly work teams.
- Develop team leaders to meet corporate guidelines and transform existing material delivery processes to increase productivity and reduce manufacturing cost utilizing the World Class Manufacturing process.
- Ensure inventory and record integrity and maintain a positive working relationship with both management and union represented employee.
- Manage multiple work teams in a fast paced, high volume unionized manufacturing environment.
- Responsible for coordinating daily team activities to achieve business metrics and implementing WCM tools and processes as it relates to material flow.
- Required to oversee and develop highly functioning work teams, comprised of team leaders and team members and practice leadership principles
Physical & Work Requirements
Bachelors Degree RequiredAbility to troubleshoot equipment / machineryStrong math skills and problem-solving abilityBetter than average understanding of Excel and OutlookAbility to work well with a team while also working independentlyDetail oriented and strong ability to organize and prioritizeGood written and verbal communication skills.Great team player, hard worker, self-starter with good work ethic.Ability to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required.Work in hot / cold environments and around heavy manufacturing equipment.Wear required personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, steel-toed shoes, etc.).Stand or walk for long periods; frequently bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs.Work in confined spaces and climb ladders, stairs, or man lifts as necessary.
