Structural Trades II - Painter

Salary : $4,238.00 monthly. Location : Adams County, CO. Job Type : Full Time. Department : Front Range Community College.

This position is open only to Colorado state residents. Primary physical work address : 3645 W. 112th Ave, Westminster, CO 80031. FLSA status : Non-Exempt; position is eligible for overtime compensation.

This position does require a strong on-campus presence at Westminster Campus, Westminster, CO. This position works the following shift : Monday-Friday, 7 : 30 am 4 : 00 pm.

General summary : Provide maintenance service to the students, staff and to the public in general by maintaining a healthy and safe environment in and out of the building. Tenant improvements, building repairs, carpentry, roofing, plumbing, painting, plastering and wall repairs and remodeling. Repairs and maintains fixtures and equipment in classrooms, rest rooms and general public areas. Requisitions material for new or remodel renovations of the building and provides cost estimates. Repair various commercial kitchen equipment and drain cleaning. Operates specialized equipment i.e., forklift, tractor, trencher, backhoe, welder, sewer auger and jet cleaner, jack hammer, sander, grinder, and table saw. Supervises temporary and / or hourly employees.

Duties : Painting, plumbing, furniture repairs, structural safety / ADA, and other related duties.

Minimum qualifications, substitutions, conditions of employment & appeal rights : Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the structural trades appropriate to the work assignment (including carpentry, electrical, painting, locksmithing) or a combination of related education, formalized apprenticeship program, and / or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to four (4) years. Lived experience qualifications : Four (4) years working experience volunteering on a construction project, repairing or renovating existing structures, working in disaster relief efforts, or working for a family-owned construction company, etc. Required competencies : operating equipment & tools, customer service, building & construction skills, public safety, communication, maintenance and custodial, technology. Necessary special requirement & conditions of employment : Must possess and maintain a current, valid State of Colorado Driver's License to operate company vehicles. Must submit to and successfully complete a pre-employment background check including a motor vehicle record (MVR) as a condition of hire. Felony convictions or convictions of crimes of moral turpitude or convictions of misdemeanors related to the job duties may disqualify you from consideration for this position. Should your background check reveal any charges and convictions, it is your responsibility to provide Front Range Community College, Office of Human Resources with an official disposition of the charges.
