As an Account Manager at EP Logistics, youll be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients. Youll visit customer locations, keep communication tight, solve problems quickly, andwhen necessaryjump in to keep routes covered. Youll also help grow EP Logistics by prospecting and closing new accounts (commission eligibility for new customers you personally bring in).
What You'll Do
Own client relationships endtoend : Respond to client messages within 24 hours, resolve logistical issues fast, and conduct weekly checkins with key accounts to ensure service quality and satisfaction.Be present on site when it matters : Visit assigned accounts regularly; if an account is experiencing issues, be there daily until its resolved. Train drivers and ensure service standards are met.Hire & onboard drivers / owneroperators : Source and recruit drivers / owneroperators for active and backup routes; coordinate screening and onboarding with HR / Compliance; keep an uptodate roster for each location.Manage driver operations at your locations : Own schedules / coverage, coach and support drivers, communicate to resolve issues in real time, and ensure documentation stays current in shared systems. Escalate and solve route / service problems proactively.Keep routes covered : Coordinate drivers and fill delivery routes; if a driver isnt available, be prepared to step in and run the route to protect ontime performance (valid drivers license required).Coordinate operations : Prioritize client tasks (filling routes, driver issues), monitor daily time entries in the HRIS / timekeeping tool (e.g., BambooHR), and follow up as needed.Grow the business : Actively prospectresearch, call, email, and scout new leads; manage your CRM, followups, and pipeline; identify stagnant deals and reenergize them; prepare targeted proposals and upsell / crosssell to existing clients.What youll bring
Experience in account management, dispatch / operations, field sales, or customer successideally in transportation, lastmile, or logistics.People & driver ops : Experience recruiting drivers / owneroperators and managing daytoday driver operations (scheduling, coverage, coaching) is a plus.Driverready mindset : Comfortable stepping in to run a delivery route when coverage gaps occur; valid drivers license and a responsible driving record.Strong communication and followthroughyoure responsive, organized, and calm under time pressure.Proficiency with CRM tools and basic reporting / forecasting ; familiarity with HRIS / timekeeping systems (e.g., BambooHR).Travel & schedule
Regular local travel to client sites; occasional regional / overnight travel as needed.Flexibility to respond to timesensitive client needs.Compensation
