The Finite Production Planner is responsible for creating a detailed, time-phased production plan by SKU and by line at the shift, hour, and minute level, tailored to the specific requirements of the assets in scope. The Planner balances required and available capacity to optimize service levels, working capital, and capacity costs.

This position reports to the Master Scheduler. This role is onsite and is based in Franklin, NH.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Planner and Analyst
- Translate the plans into a detailed finite production schedule
- Generate a granular sequence of near-term process orders that fulfill planned orders while respecting asset constraints, labor availability, and changeover logic
- Maximize adherence to the daily schedule by optimizing allocation of production resources and minimizing last-minute adjustments
- Monitor volume requirements and actively participate in S&OP and S&OE processes by evaluating schedule change needs, assess downstream impacts, and ensure alignment between long-term plans and short-term execution
Customer Focus
Proactively flag service risks and schedule adherence impacts when near-term orders deviate from demand or replenishment plansEnsure the schedule protects the ATP (available to promise) commitmentsEnsure schedule changes are well communicated and impact to the customer is mitigated. Partner with S&OP and S&OE teams to align on planning impactSupport root cause analysis when Line Fill Rate falls below 98%Executional Partner
Collaborate daily with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams to resolve execution gaps, address delays, and incorporate planned downtime or holdsAddress emergent issues with minimal disruption to output or service levelsConduct "what-if" scenario modeling to assess the impact of unplanned events (e.g., equipment failure, urgent orders) and recommend schedule adjustmentsSystems and Data Owner
Monitor finite scheduling master data, including run-rates, yields, constraint logic, changeover matrix, and sequencing rulesTrack actual performance vs. plan; adjust data models to reflect observed throughput or output issues.Reporting and RCA
Monitor key metrics : schedule adherence, line fill rate, production attainmentSupport S&OP and S&OE processes by presenting schedule risks, recovery plans, and driver metricsProcess Improvement
Participate in and propose continuous improvement events (e.g. Kaizen) to enhance schedule stability and reduce lead timesShare best practices with peers across lines, factories, or regions to strengthen enterprise-wide scheduling maturityRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.APICS certification preferred4+ years' experience in production scheduling or planning in a manufacturing environmentStrong MRP knowledgeSAP experience preferredExcellent knowledge in capacity planningGlobal supply chain & production control knowledge, and lean and inventory reduction techniquesGood mathematical and analytical skillsStrong organizational and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and computer skillsAbility to influence across functions without direct authorityGeneral Applicable Company Competencies
