This full-time role requires expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Key Responsibilities :
Diagnose, service, and repair HVAC systems including heat pumps, gas furnaces, air conditioners, and rooftop units.
Perform preventive maintenance and handle emergency service calls.
Utilize field software like BuildOps for ticket tracking and job documentation.
Conduct system performance reviews and recommend improvements.
Complete combustion safety testing, refrigerant charging, and airflow diagnostics.
Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and team members.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure paperwork is submitted accurately.
Uphold Vanports safety and workmanship standards on every job.
Coordinate with team leaders to support training and mentorship of apprentices.
Qualifications :
5+ years of residential or light commercial HVAC service experience.
Skilled in troubleshooting, digital controls, zoning systems, and variable-speed equipment.
Proficiency in system diagnostics, repair, and documentation.
EPA Section 608 Certification (refrigerant handling)
Washington State 06A or 06B Electrical License
Valid WA State Drivers License with clean driving record
NATE Certification
O2 / CO combustion safety testing experience
Washington or Oregon Boiler Certification
Experience in commercial refrigeration, automation systems, or IAQ solutions

Schedule :
Full-Time : MondayFriday, with weekend availability as needed
Location :
Field-based work across Washington with travel required. Vehicle and travel support provided.
