Marion Senior Center, 2375 Harding Highway E., Marion, OH
This is a part-time, non-exempt position, with no guarantee of a set number of working hours per week with a pay rate of $14.67 per hour, $17.28 after 90 days and $19.57 after 15 months of completing a successful probation.
NOTE
Responsible for providing safe, timely transportation for elderly clients to and from homes to predetermined destinations, via Senior Center's minibus or van, for the purpose of helping the client to remain independent in their homes. This is a part-time non-exempt position in which there is no guarantee of a set number of working hours per week.
Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, physical examination and drug screen are required prior to employment with the City of Marion.
Summary
Summary
Responsible to the Senior Center Director to provide safe, timely transportation for elderly clients to and from homes and predetermined destinations, via Senior Center's minibus or van, for the purpose of helping them to remain independent in their homes.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent through experience and training with no less than two (2) years safely driving vehicles throughout all seasons and having no moving violations or convictions in preceding three (3) years.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, maps, traffic rules and regulations, and street and road signs; write simple reports; speak distinctly to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and others.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and compute percent, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists and interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Valid State of Ohio Driver's License required; Class C or higher Commercial Driver's License desirable.
