Position Overview : Join our dynamic team as a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Neurosurgery, where you will provide high-quality care to patients with complex neurological conditions. Location : Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215

Compensation and Benefits :

Pay Range : $37.50 - $56.25
Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift
Student Loan Forgiveness : Up to $20,000
Tuition Assistance : Up to $7,200
RN Referral Bonus : $5,000 (for Advocate Aurora teammates)

Your Role : In this role, you will be responsible for :

Delivering and coordinating comprehensive, evidence-based patient care.

Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and compassionate care.

Utilizing clinical judgment and critical thinking skills to support optimal outcomes.

Unit Overview : Work in our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, caring for a diverse patient population with conditions such as :

Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.

Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.

Hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program.

Qualifications :

Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.

Completion of an accredited nursing program.

Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Requirements :

Ability to provide holistic patient care with a patient and family focus.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organization, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry patients and equipment.

Must be able to perform transfers and operate necessary medical equipment.

May require exposure to hazardous materials; protective gear will be provided.
