Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Assisting in surgical procedures by organizing the operating room for optimal efficiency
  • Upholding sterile fields and adhering strictly to infection prevention protocols
  • Handing surgical instruments and essential supplies to surgeons and their assistants
  • Managing surgical equipment effectively before, during, and after procedures
  • Keeping track of supplies to ensure readiness for each operation
  • Working collaboratively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other surgical team members to provide seamless patient care
  • Maintaining accurate counts and documentation during surgeries
Education Requirements:
  • Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
Required Certifications:
  • Possession of a current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential is essential
  • BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment)
Essential Skills and Attributes:
  • Proficient knowledge of various surgical instruments and procedures across multiple specialties
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, particularly in high-pressure settings
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and promptly respond to the needs of the surgical team
  • Strong organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Expertise in aseptic techniques and maintaining sterile fields
