Position Summary:
We are seeking an entry-level Shop Installer Technician to support our Fleet division.. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a hands-on career in diesel, refrigeration, or fleet maintenance. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and motivated to grow within a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation of Thermo King vehicle-powered (VP) and auxiliary power units (APU) on trucks, tractors, and vans.
• Support senior technicians with mechanical installations, component mounting, basic wiring, and system setup.
• Follow installation guidelines, safety procedures, and quality standards to ensure all work meets Sonsray expectations.
• Perform basic shop tasks such as tool organization, parts staging, and work area cleanup.
• Learn proper use of hand and power tools in a shop environment.
• Accurately document work performed as directed by the Service Manager or lead technician.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support shop operations and dealership objectives.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude or interest in pursuing a career in fleet, diesel, or equipment service.
• Previous hands-on experience (automotive, diesel, HVAC, construction, or shop environment) is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions from senior technicians.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work in a shop environment, including standing, bending, lifting, and working with tools and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (as required).
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
