DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Bureau of Animal Health and Diagnostic Services' mission to prevent, detect, and eliminate dangerous transmissible diseases (DTDs) affecting livestock and poultry, including foreign animal diseases. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the Bureau is always prepared for animal health emergencies and, during such events, implementing disease control measures in collaboration with Bureau leadership.
You will also provide technical expertise in the planning, development, coordination, and enhancement of strategies, training, and procedures aimed at mitigating risks from dangerous transmissible and emerging diseases. Furthermore, you will ensure that the Bureau's emergency response equipment is fully operational by overseeing timely maintenance, updating technology, training staff on equipment use and maintenance, and ensuring adequate supplies are available
