Human Resources Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Towson, Maryland. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR department by managing critical administrative tasks, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities :

  • Track and manage performance evaluations using spreadsheets to ensure timely completion and accuracy.
  • Conduct audits of HR files to maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
  • Oversee and update employee records within the HRIS system to ensure data integrity.
  • Provide support for onboarding processes, including background checks and orientation activities.
  • Assist in managing employee relations by addressing inquiries and resolving issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline HR processes and improve departmental efficiency.
  • Generate and analyze reports to support HR decision-making and strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies in all HR activities.
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for HR-related inquiries and provide guidance to employees.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources roles, demonstrating attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) for data management.
  • Strong skills in onboarding processes, including conducting background checks and employee orientation.
  • Proven ability to handle employee relations and address workplace concerns effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and auditing skills.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining HR documentation and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with employees and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment.
