Job Description : Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an advanced energy technology organization, is seeking a skilled Battery Pack and Module Teardown Technician. This role is responsible for safely disassembling high-voltage battery systems, supporting failure analysis, and contributing to process improvements in battery research environments.
Job Duties
- Perform teardowns of battery modules and packs, including failure analysis at the cell and component level
- Operate and maintain lab equipment such as thermal chambers, potentiostats, and electrical diagnostic tools
- Support engineering teams in analyzing performance and safety issues
- Follow strict safety protocols when handling high-voltage and hazardous materials
- Conduct pre-operation risk assessments and safety checks on battery systems
- Assist in refining teardown procedures for efficiency and repeatability
- Document observations, measurements, and findings accurately using digital tools
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for lab operations
Skills & Experience
Required :
5+ years of experience in battery teardown, assembly, or related technical fieldsHands-on experience with high-voltage systems (up to 1,000V)Proficient in mechanical disassembly using hand and power toolsUnderstanding of battery safety practices and electrical isolation techniquesFamiliarity with data entry tools such as Excel, LIMS, or other lab databasesWorking knowledge of battery cell failure modes (thermal, electrical, mechanical)Desired :
