Controller Position

We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead and manage our organization's financial operations in Houston, Texas. This role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic insights to support business goals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting and finance, paired with leadership skills and a dedication to operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Prepare accurate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies.
• Standardize and implement accounting procedures across the organization.
• Collaborate with department leaders to guide budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Manage audit processes and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance.
• Provide financial analysis and reports to support executive decision-making and strategic initiatives.
• Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize overall financial performance.
• Ensure tax compliance and prepare necessary filings and reports.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement financial systems to enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
• Expertise in account reconciliation and project accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and practices.
• Proven ability to manage multiple financial functions and lead teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Experience working with financial systems and implementing process improvements.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with executives and cross-functional teams.
