Washington State Licensed Outpatient Coder

A company is looking for an Outpatient Hospital Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Collect and abstract ICD-10 diagnosis, HCPCS codes, and CPT procedural codes from various hospital case types

Support revenue integrity by reviewing posted charges for accuracy and resolving coding validation issues

Review coding edits and assign modifiers based on billing regulations

Required Qualifications

Associate degree or two years of college coursework in Health Information Management or equivalent work experience

Two years of professional or outpatient facility coding experience or completion of an apprenticeship program

AHIMA or AAPC credentials such as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, COC, CRC, or CPMA

Preferred experience in a pediatric acute care setting
