About the Role :

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a Special Education Preschool program in Jackson Heights, NY. The role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive environment focused on helping preschool-aged children achieve greater independence and success in their daily activities.

This position is open to both new graduates and experienced therapists interested in pediatric or school-based therapy.

Key Responsibilities :

• Evaluate and assess students' fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) based on students' goals and developmental needs.
• Provide direct therapy to preschool-aged children in individual or small group settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members to support each student's participation in the classroom.
• Adapt classroom materials and environments to promote engagement and success.
• Maintain detailed documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff development sessions.
