Director, Data And AI Governance
Breakthru Beverage Group (BBG) is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director, Data and AI Governance to define and lead the execution of our enterprise data governance strategy. In this pivotal role, you will establish the frameworks, policies, and standards that position data as a trusted and strategic asset. Reporting to the VP of Data & AI, you will partner with business, technology and data leaders to embed governance into the fabric of the organizationdriving stewardship, enabling AI readiness, and ensuring responsible data use. The ideal candidate has successfully led governance programs in large, complex organizations and combines strategic vision with a roll-up-the-sleeves mindset. You can build consensus at the executive level while operationalizing governance practices across data quality, observability, metadata, lineage, security, and stewardship.
This role follows a hybrid work schedule, with two days in the office and three days working remotely. It may be based out of any Breakthru Beverage office location.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field. 10+ years of experience in data governance or data management within large, complex enterprises, including a minimum of 5 years leading teams. Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, data observability, metadata management, and regulatory compliance. Experience with modern data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, Atlan and cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks). Expertise with SAP MDG, ECC, or S / 4HANA, particularly in master data management and governance. Demonstrated ability to build executive consensus on data definitions and standards while driving adoption across diverse business units. Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving organizational change. Experience operationalizing data privacy, security, data observability, and responsible AI practices. Understanding core AI / ML concepts, algorithms, common biases, and fairness metrics. Advanced PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software. Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation. Sound judgment, analytical, and technical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong planning and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree Proficiency in AI-specific laws and standards like NIST Strong understanding of modern data architecture, engineering, and cloud-native data platforms. Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare, consumer goods) with complex compliance requirements. CAIGP, CAIG&CS, CIPP or CISA certification
