Position : Direct Care Staff                                                                    FLSA Status : Non-Exempt

NeuLife Rehabilitation (NLR) provides post-acute rehabilitation and residential services for individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Spinal Cord Injuries, and Neurological Disorders.

Summary

The Direct Care Staff (DCS) is responsible for providing care to clients with neurological injuries, impairments, functional limitations, and / or disabilities, following the established care plan with all aspects of their daily living in both residential and community settings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care needs in accordance with the care plan and qualifications.
• Completes health checks, documentation, and communicates in an effective and timely manner to program leadership (ex.

Program director, manager).

grooming supplies, household cleaning supplies, and items needed for staff job duties.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Qualifications :

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION : High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license with favorable driving record.

CPR / First Aid Certification.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE : Medical terminology, anatomy, physiology.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : Six months to one year of experience in direct care, caregiving, medial assisting and / or CNA experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements

The employee is regularly required to use hands to treat clients, operate a computer and write.

The employee must occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.

May be exposed to temperature extremes, pathogens, and chemicals / solvents.
