Overview

Senior Actuary - Member Analytics / Population Health (Remote)

Purpose : Performs advanced actuarial and management skills in the support of departmental and company objectives. Oversees and directs the work of Actuarial staff and represents the Actuarial department to senior and executive management of multiple business areas. Serve on taskforces and ensure that all information is accurately and effectively utilized.

Responsibilities

• Direct the efforts of Actuarial Staff (Pricing, Actuarial Finance, Actuarial Medicare Advantage, Actuarial Innovation and Research) to accomplish near- and long-term goals set by senior management.
• Collaborate with senior management to set long-term strategy within the Actuarial department.
• Represent the Actuarial department to internal and external customers including state and federal regulators.
• Hire, recruit and develop a purpose-driven, growing team with balanced, optimal work distribution, visibility, and SOA exam success.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages people.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range : $169,600 - $314,820. Compensation details are subject to geographic differential and other factors. CareFirst offers a comprehensive benefits package, various incentive programs / plans, and 401k contribution programs / plans (eligibility requirements apply).
