Friendship is looking for Nursing Assistants to join our Richfield Assisted Living team, located in Salem, VA. The Nurse Aide position provides quality nursing care to residents; implements specific procedures and programs designated by facility processes; coordinates work within the department, as well as with other departments; reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responds to inquiries or requests for information related to the residents care; and assists the immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations.

Full-Time CNA Sign On Bonus - $1,000 paid out in equal installments over 10 pay periods

Shifts available :

Part Time 6 : 45 a.m. - 3 : 15 p.m. (Joseph C. Thomas Center)

Roles & Responsibilities :

Assist with resident admissions, transfers and discharges as instructed by licensed nurse.

Assist resident with daily personal care, bath and bathroom functions.

Maintain records of resident care and condition.

Assist resident with walking, repositioning, sitting, standing, with or without the use of medical equipment and toileting

Measure and record vital signs, height and weight as required.

Comply with all requirements set forth in individual resident care plans.

Report any injuries, skin conditions or other changes to residents' condition or behavior to supervisor immediately.

Prepare, serve and provide feeding assistance as necessary to include but not limited to set-up.

Attend and participate in continuing education programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession, as well as to maintain your license on a current status.

Ensure resident has adequate supplies.

Qualifications :

High School Diploma or GED required

CNA license or training certificate from a board approved program in the state of Virginia required

Adult First Aid / CPR and AED required. Friendship can provide training

Must have knowledge of and an interest in geriatrics; and must have a good understanding of medical terminology

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects weighing over 50 pounds
