Responsibilities Mixed acuity telemetry unit in a hospital setting Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 30) Unit cares for advanced care level patients with experience in titrating advanced care level drips required Patient ratios typically 1 : 4, but may be up to 1 : 5–6 Unit may implement a team nursing model with RNs, LPNs, and PCTs Required to float to all stepdown and advanced care units, including multiple nearby hospital campuses Every other weekend and holiday shifts required No block schedules available Responsibilities include serving advanced care telemetry patients and titrating high-acuity medication drips Nurses may alternate between team nursing and primary nursing models as unit needs dictate Float assignments are prioritized for travelers and may include support roles in multiple hospital locations No more than 7 days of requested time off will be approved Travel partners are not permitted for this assignment Onboarding modules must be completed during orientation Holiday coverage is required for all major holidays Nurses will be fitted for an N95 mask prior to working in designated units No local candidates will be considered for RN roles Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required Minimum 1.5 years experience required; 2 years in a large hospital preferred Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred BLS and ACLS certifications required Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required or willingness to obtain Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to start Travel nursing experience preferred Must be fitted for N95 mask or use PAPR as required Not eligible if within a 50-mile local radius Facility does not accept candidates with past license actions Medical exemptions are not accepted for contract Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625582.
