Once Upon a Time Child Care Center in Verona, WI. is seeking individuals with a passion for or an interest in working with children. We have a clean, safe and fun workplace. We are looking for people to join our team Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers and Support Staff positions are available full-time and / or part-time. We will train you and provide you with a lifetime career opportunity.

We are also looking for help in the early mornings or late afternoons. Are you in school or maybe have a few hours in the morning or early evening and would like to earn some extra money,? Our part-time support staff positions are for you! We need staff to help us greet parents at drop-off in the morning and at pick-up in the evening. Usually from 7 : 00 - 9 : 00 am and 3 : 00 - 5 : 30 pm, but hours can vary. We will work with you!

Full-time shifts are 9 hours with a one-hour break, five days a week. No night or weekend work.

Excellent compensation based on education and experience ($16-$20 / hour).

Duties

• Provide play in a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order.
• Read books to entire classes or to small groups.
• Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to children.
• Arrange indoor and outdoor space to facilitate creative play, motor-skill activities, and safety.
• Organize and label materials and display students' work in a manner appropriate for their ages and perceptual skills.
• Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guests, or other experiential activities and guide students in learning from those activities.
