We are seeking a Billing Specialist for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for submitting hospital medical claims to insurance companies for reimbursement. What you will do in this role includes working edits in the billing system to ensure clean submission of claims to the payer within a timely fashion, evaluating the claim to ensure accuracy, working with the billing team to learn / educate each other on how to bill each payer, working front end rejected claims from payers for resubmission, making any corrections appropriate, entering electronic remittance codes for secondary billing, and escalating issues to Team Lead or Manager as necessary.

What qualifications you will need include minimum one year related experience required, preferably in healthcare, and relevant education may substitute experience requirements.
