This job communicates effectively with co-workers, patients, family, and visitors. Provides a safe work environment for the patient and performs all functions as stated via written protocol, as approved by the Medical Director

Education

  • Required - Completion of a formal training program; high school diploma or equivalent.

    • Work Experience

  • Required - Experience working with and maintaining confidential information.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Required - 2 years current as a registered EMT / A, EMT-1

    • Certifications Required :

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • ACLS from American Heart Association
  • Current registration with the National and Louisiana Registry of EMT's as an EMT / B
  • Current class D license by the Louisiana DHH / EMS
  • Valid license and registration (must be current and valid at all times)
  • Current Defensive Driving Certification
