INVENTORY CLERK

About the Role:

The Inventory Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management within the transportation and warehousing sector. This position is responsible for maintaining detailed records of stock levels, processing incoming and outgoing shipments, and verifying inventory data against physical counts. Minimum Qualifications:

• Physical capability to operate material handling equipment and perform manual inventory tasks.

• Experience in the transportation and warehousing industry.

• Certification in forklift or pallet jack operation.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update inventory records by accurately entering data into warehouse management systems.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks to move and organize stock within the warehouse.
• Follow established procedure manuals to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Read and interpret various documents including barcodes, shipping labels, and inventory reports.
• Calculate figures and amounts related to inventory quantities, weights, and measurements.
• Divide inventory into appropriate units of measure to facilitate accurate tracking and reporting.
