Shipyard riggers play a critical role in lifting, moving, and positioning heavy equipment, ship components, and materials that support both military and commercial vessel projects. \nResponsibilities\n \n
Set up, inspect, and operate rigging gear including pulleys, chains, slings, hoists, cranes, and winches.

Safely lift, move, and align ship components and heavy materials.
\n
\n
Read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and work instructions.
\n
\n
Signal and communicate with crane operators and other crew members.
\n
\n
Inspect rigging equipment daily and ensure compliance with shipyard safety standards.
\n
\n
Maintain a safe and organized work area at all times.
\n
\n \nRequirements\n \n
Proven shipyard or industrial rigging experience required.
\n
\n
Strong knowledge of rigging gear, hand signals, and safe lifting procedures.
\n
\n
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments (climbing, bending, standing for extended periods).
\n
\n
Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
\n
\n
Must pass background check, drug screening, and meet shipyard entry requirements.
