Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect and verify data : Gather and verify timekeeping data from various departments, resolving any discrepancies with employees and supervisors.
- Financial reporting : Assist with preparing financial and fiscal reports, statements, and other financial records.
- Payroll : Process payroll, prepare periodic payroll reports for management and accounting.
- Accounting : Reconcile payroll-related transactions to the general ledger.
- Calculate deductions : Accurately calculate and apply payroll deductions, such as federal and state taxes, insurance, and retirement savings.
- Compliance : Ensure that financial activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Manage records : Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes to tax status or benefits.
- Ensure compliance : Stay up-to-date with payroll laws and regulations to ensure the company's payroll practices are compliant with federal and state requirements.
- Resolve inquiries : Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, taxes, and deductions.
- Assist with audits : Support internal and external audits related to payroll by providing necessary documentation and information.
- General office support : Perform general office duties such as filing financial records, answering telephones, and handling correspondence.
