Monroe County, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as Assistant Corporation Counsel. This full-time position provides general legal counsel to the county and its departments, demonstrates quality research and writing, and assists in representing multiple departments mainly in relation to Child in Need of Protection and Services (CHIPS) cases, termination of parental rights, guardianships, child support, vulnerable adults, mental health, and various county board matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide general legal counsel to county departments.
• Conduct research and write appellate briefs.
• Assist in representing and advising multiple departments on child protection, termination of parental rights, guardianships, child support, vulnerable adults, mental health, and county board matters.
