A Brief Overview

Accountable for coordinating the flow of patients through managing calls, schedules, supplies and equipment while assisting provider and nurses with various non-clinical responsibilities.

What You Will Do

• Coordinates appointment scheduling and follows office scheduling policies / parameters, assisting providers and nurses with cancellations, fill-ins, double booking approvals, follow-up appointments, reminder calls, etc.
• Responsible to prepare and maintain patient records in an orderly fashion and assure they are accessible to the provider.
• Answers and routes calls promptly, alerting appropriate personnel to urgent messages / issues that require immediate attention.
• Assist the provider and nurse with other support duties as time allows, including but not limited to : making copies, opening mail, completion of disabilities forms, complete DME forms, make referrals, running reports, and fax items as requested.
• Provides information to patients / visitors within scope of knowledge or refers to appropriate individuals.
