Senior Architect, Software Engineering, US
Are you ready to make an impact? West Monroe is seeking a Senior Architect, Software Engineering to join the Technology and Experience (TechEx) practice. From designing customer-facing software to integrating complex platforms and leveraging actionable data, our engineering teams partner with clients to modernize every layer of their technology stack. You will work on modern architecture practices, cloud technologies, and build software that is both smart and impactful.
In this role, you will partner with clients and our team on transformational projects, collaborating to gather technical requirements, define platform and integration design, and develop innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work in a collaborative team setting to support clients and solve business problems through analysis of existing systems, applications, and processes.
- Lead the development of software solutions across full-lifecycle Agile projects – from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, implementation, and rollout.
- Own the flexibility to be creative and impact designs with a "blank slate" development mentality within client expectations.
- Build highly interactive and customized web, desktop, and mobile front-end and back-end applications.
- Participate in all aspects of product development, including generating ideas, prototyping, building solutions, testing outcomes, and integrating learnings into future work.
- Continuously learn new languages, paradigms, patterns, and frameworks to develop technical expertise.
- Use creativity and resourcefulness to tackle unexpected challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities into client solutions, leveraging AI tools and frameworks for automation, personalization, and innovation.
Skills & Requirements
Technical Expertise
Proficiency in multiple programming languages across full-stack development..NET and / or Java and front-end frameworks including React and Angular.Deep experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Advanced knowledge of databases and their integration in software solutions.Proven experience with Agile methodology and leading dispersed teams on complex projects.Consultative technical business acumen to support pursuits with revenue targets.Aptitude for presenting strategic application modernization to clients.Domain expertise in digital product, software engineering, software modernization, modern integration platform and AI-enabled intelligent products and agents capabilities and functions.Experience delivering technical solutions to Fortune 1000, enterprise, and upper mid-market clients.Experience working in an on-shore, near-shore or hybrid delivery model.Generative AI Expertise
Experience with Generative AI tools and platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, AWS, Azure, LangChain, Vertex AI).Knowledge of AI / ML concepts, including NLP, LLMs, and computer vision.Ability to design AI-driven solutions to enhance business processes, automate workflows, and improve customer experiences.Familiarity with ethical considerations and responsible AI practices.Leadership & Collaboration
Subject matter depth in imagining, designing, and building bespoke digital products, leading software modernization and integration platform engagements.Lead teams across industries as the technical lead, owning overall delivery accountability.Provide quality assurance and conduct frequent touch-bases with client stakeholders.Identify, develop, and leverage accelerators for industry-specific or capability-specific challenges.Strong sense of urgency with comfort delivering solutions in fast-paced environments.Excellent critical thinking, leadership, communication, and project management skills.Commitment to inclusion and diversity.General Qualifications

Seattle or Washington, D.C. – $203,200—$239,100 USD
Los Angeles – $212,900—$250,500 USD
New York City or San Francisco – $222,500—$261,900 USD
A location not listed above – $193,500—$227,700 USD
