American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience to work acute care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in acute care, covering both inpatient and outpatient settings as neededInpatient roles may include general inpatient, rehab, and sub-acute areas with patient populations such as ortho, stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, medical, surgical, bariatrics, ICU, and cardiacOutpatient roles may be at nearby clinics, specializing in ortho, sports medicine, neuro, pediatrics, and lymphedemaNo Rehab Aides / OTA / PTA support providedPatient diagnoses include spinal cord injuries, strokes, brain injuries, orthopedic cases, and long-term vented patientsThree shifts of floor-specific orientation providedUses Cerner EMR for documentation; prior Cerner experience preferredEight-hour day shifts, typically from 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pmWeekend requirement includes working either every Saturday or SundayHoliday coverage is required, typically one major and one minor holiday within perm staff rotationsMust be adaptable to cover either inpatient or outpatient assignments according to facility needsStandard daily duties include treating a wide variety of diagnoses and collaborating with a multidisciplinary teamScrub attire consists of a provided polo shirt with khaki or black pantsReturning travelers may not have worked at a CommonSpirit / CHI / Dignity facility in the past 12 monthsFloor-specific orientation consists of three shifts for onboarding and trainingWork rotation may require travel to nearby outpatient clinicsCandidates must be willing to work assigned holidays within the staff rotation\n \n Requirements\n
Active state or compact (NLC) Physical Therapist license required if applicable; pending licenses are not acceptedMinimum 2 years of recent Physical Therapy experience in a similar setting requiredCurrent BLS certification is requiredCopy of driver’s license must be provided for considerationTwo professional references, one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility\n Benefits\n
