Help at Home is now hiring a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional  for our Down Town location (36 S Wabash Ave.

Chicago, IL)!    We offer weekly pay between $24.00-$26.00 an hour based on experience!  Help at Home, LLC is the nation’s leading provider of high-quality care and support solutions.

Job Summary :

  • The Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) leads person-centered support for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
  • This role ensures quality care through assessment, planning, and coordination of services—empowering individuals to achieve their personal goals and live meaningful, inclusive lives.
  • The QIDP provides compassionate leadership, fosters teamwork, and promotes a positive, compliant, and growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Program & Compliance : Uphold agency mission, policies, and DHEC / DDSN regulations.
  • Advocate for individuals and their families with respect and professionalism.
  • Maintain safe, healthy, and engaging living environments.
  • Individual Support :

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care and support plans.
  • Encourage community participation and document progress toward goals.
  • Coordinate assessments, training programs, and revisions as needed.
  • Leadership & Training :

  • Supervise, train, and support direct care staff to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Promote teamwork, active treatment, and staff development.
  • Quality & Clinical Oversight :

  • Conduct ongoing quality reviews to ensure compliance and excellence in care.
  • Monitor medical, behavioral, and therapeutic supports; collaborate with specialists.
  • Facilitate communication and problem-solving among individuals, families, and teams.   Qualifications / Educational Requirements Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Human Services or related field; or professional license (e.g., RN, OT, PT, SLP, Social Work, Psychology).
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of DDSN and DHEC regulations required.
