Job Title : Clinic Phlebotomist
Location : Various clinic sites : Primary Weatherford Ok, occasional draws at Watonga and Kingfisher Oklahoma
Travel : Required; mileage reimbursement provided
Schedule : Full-time, MondayThursday (8 : 00 AM5 : 00 PM) Friday (8 : 00 AM- 12 : 00 PM)
Transportation : Reliable transportation required; samples must be dropped off at FedEx at the end of each shift
Note : Work schedule and location may vary based on company or client needs
Position Summary
The Clinic Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood and urine specimens from patients across multiple clinic locations. This role involves ensuring accurate labeling and documentation, monitoring patient well-being during procedures, and preparing samples for laboratory processing. The Phlebotomist must maintain high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and infection control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and confirm required tests
- Determine appropriate blood draw method based on patient needs
- Ensure patient comfort and monitor for adverse reactions
- Take and record vital signs as needed
- Educate patients on post-procedure care
- Adhere to infection control protocols
- Label and prepare specimens for processing
- Centrifuge samples when necessary
- Enter patient data into electronic systems
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality
