Hiring for a Ophthalmic Tech for a clinic in Fayetteville, NY.
Pay range : $18-22 / hr (based on experience!)
Required Schedule : Monday through Thursday 7AM – 5PM
Requirements :
- 1+ year of Ophthalmic Technician experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Completion of Ophthalmic Technician classes / certification is preferred
Responsibilities :
Ophthalmic Technician performs tasks that the eye doctor can delegate to assist the physician in diagnosing and treating the patient. Here is a list of common tasks performed by the Ophthalmic Technician :
Assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient managementPerform measurements and tests that provide the doctor with information needed to arrive at a diagnosis and to prescribe treatmentAssist with electronic medical documentationAssist with patient servicesHistory takingVisual acuity measurementTonometry (measure eye pressure)Measure pupil size and reactivityTest and measure eye muscle functionVisual field testingCorneal thickness measurementCorneal topographyRetinal thickness and topographyPrepare for and assist with in-office proceduresSurgical assistingScribeOffice cleaningAll pre-testing that is needed for patient work upAssist doctor when neededPerformance Requirements :
