Pay Information
$1,250 to $1,350 per week
About The Position
- Prepare and set up procedure rooms according to the scheduled cases and gastroenterologist preferences.
- Gather appropriate instrumentation, supplies, and equipment for each procedure.
- Anticipate the needs of the gastroenterologist and assist during procedures.
- Handle, label, and prepare specimens correctly and accurately.
- Perform manual cleaning of scopes and contaminated instruments post-procedure per facility policy.
- Conduct high-level disinfection or sterilization of endoscopic equipment according to protocol.
- Perform quality assurance testing and maintain scope washer logs as required.
- Troubleshoot endoscopic and washer equipment; report any malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
- Assist in room turnover, including cleaning beds, lights, and removing used linen and trash.
- Restock supplies, maintain inventory, and assist with procedural cart setup at the end of the day.
- Support procedures performed outside the Endoscopy Unit by transporting and setting up equipment.
- Maintain and monitor stock levels in procedure rooms and supply closets.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient operations.
- Report any material management or equipment issues to the Charge Nurse.
- Participate in on-call rotations, in-service education, and competency assessments as required.
- Support patient rights to privacy, dignity, and respectful care.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support unit operations.
