You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to:
- Ensures a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on their daily tasks, ensuring they understand critical control points, equipment usage, and resource management. Maintains compliance with established safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains workflow by monitoring work orders; setting priorities according to customer request; monitoring personnel and resources; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems.
- Completes the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, achieving work results, setting priorities, monitoring progress, adjusting schedules as needed, resolving issues, and reporting shift production summaries. Ensures physical inspections are done for all orders, this includes: physical quality review, seed counting, and preparing samples for the lab.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data. Responds to questions and requests for information as needed.
- Analyzes operating practices, record-keeping systems, data for process control, and budgetary and personnel needs to create and update systems and procedures, implementing necessary changes. Guarantees the completion of the procedures & work instructions by every stakeholder.
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Manages staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, and developing personal growth opportunities to maintain a skilled workforce. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices and participating in professional societies.
To be considered, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, engineering, or related area; or equivalent experience
- 10 yrs. general manufacturing or processing experience within industry or like department
- 2 yrs. supervisory experience required
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing is highly desirable.
Depending on department assigned, familiarity of specific types of machines, ability to set up, clean and do minor repairs. If assigned to Treating, Treating Supervisor must have or ability to obtain Applicators License
