The Associate Product Manager will work closely with experienced Product Managers to drive business strategies within SNF to help position sales teams for success, manage the product lifecycle from development through rationalization, and maintain updated sales forecasts to be shared as guidance for internal groups. This role is also responsible for prioritizing, defining, and communicating business needs internally within SNF and ensuring the product portfolio supports the long-term goals of SNF while also meeting customer / market expectations. This role is designed to take on increasing responsibility over time and grow into a Product Manager role.
Responsibilities
- Acquires a basic understanding of the product portfolio, customer base, and applications for applicable business units.
- Identifies, understands, and provides technical guidance on the needs / opportunities of applicable business units. Identifies gaps in the customer experience and translates into product line strategies and roadmaps to address.
- Collaborates with product managers to facilitate all aspects of product portfolios throughout their lifecycle while evaluating and reporting product sales performance.
- Supports developing and maintaining a product selection guide (core product guide) for SNF and applicable business units.
- Maintains an up-to-date forecast for all applicable businesses and communicates demand to internal groups so SNF can proactively identify and resolve capacity, supply, and logistics constraints.
- Collaborates with applicable business units to develop robust business cases and track product development through commercialization.
- Update strategy documentation for applicable business units at least annually. With business unit managers, analyze the current competitive landscape and generate comprehensive business reports that will be shared with Senior Leadership.
- Communicates product specification changes from R&D and QC to the businesses.
- Works with Quality Assurance to understand systemic unmet business needs and collaborates with internal groups to resolve them.
- Promotes a strong safety and sustainability culture within Traditional Product Management and among peers.
Qualifications
EDUCATION :
Bachelor's Degree - in a Technical field or Business - or equivalent experience.EXPERIENCE :
0-3 Years - experience in Sales, Marketing, R&D, Production, or another area in which technical knowledge of similar chemistries was acquired.LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS :
