Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Nurse Manager for Nursing Administration department at Hackettstown Medical Center to work varied hours and 2 weekend shift every 4 weeks.
Minimum Education:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program requiredÂ
- BSN preferred
Minimum Experience:
- 2 years recent experience in nursing leadership (framework), and acute care strongly preferred
License/Certifications:
- New Jersey Registered Nurse license required
- MS certification preferred
Essential Function/Responsibilities:
- Manages staffing and collaborates with staff and managers for decisions based on census
- Oversees house activity
- Trouble shoots- resource for staff and all departments
- Anticipates staffing needs in a 24 hour window
- Monitors ED volume, oversees Bed Management and Care View
- Monitors facility admission and time waiting
- Staffing- data collection, delegate and manage house activity
- Mentors staff and provides direction
- Reports sent that are part of role -reports- some data collection and entry
- Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served
- Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families
- Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job
- Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills
