We currently have an immediate opening for a Researcher in the Auctions Group located in our New York City or Washington, DC office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global firm that uses quantitative methods to design and manage auctions primarily in the energy and renewable energy sectors, to develop bidding strategies for bidders in auctions, and to conduct analyses of market pricing.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, environment / energy sector, or related field. Qualified candidates will have a strong academic record, exceptional analytical skill, quantitative skill, as well as a demonstrated ability to communicate complex analyses clearly and coherently. The following are not requirements but would be highly desirable : 1) prior experience in the energy markets, especially renewable energy markets; and / or 2) a Master’s degree in economics, business, or environment.
The qualified candidate will work independently within a team environment. Areas include designing and conducting energy auctions, empirical analyses, modelling, and interface with regulatory authorities.

The applicable base salary for this role is $90,000 per year.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
