Department Summary
The UCLA Compliance Office is part of the Office of the Chancellor and provides guidance and oversight of thedevelopment, implementation and administration of a compliance program that is consistent with UC policies,procedures, ethical principals and core values.
Position Summary

The Youth Protection Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring that UCLA maintains the highest standards of safety, compliance, and ethical conduct in all youth-related operations.
As the Youth Protection Officer, you will lead the university’s efforts to oversee and enhance the Youth Protection Program, ensuring alignment with UC systemwide policies and national best practices. You’ll collaborate across academic and administrative units, including Athletics, Recreation, Extension, and academic departments, to build and sustain a culture of safety and accountability.

Qualifications
Youth Protection Programs 7+ years of related experience in youth protection programs (Preferred)Demonstrated experience evaluating, coordinating and developing training on policy orprocedural subject matter, with the ability to deliver training to various constituents. (Required)Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstratedexperience serving productively and effectively as both a team leader and member, workingwith groups diverse in culture and background. (Required)Ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels (including Sr. Leadership). (Required)Excellent organizational, planning and problem-solving skills. (Required)Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while developing and managing auditprocesses and reporting results. (Required)Strong customer service orientation. (Required)Ability to manage complex and extremely sensitive issues with professionalism whileunderstanding the legal privacy and confidentiality parameters. (Required)Knowledge of American Camp Association standards. (Required)Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
