Senior Project Manager - Construction - Healthcare
Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager - Construction will oversee and manage construction projects in the Healthcare building niche from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and to manage risks effectively while driving strategic planning and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines
- Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication and addressing any concerns or issues that arise
- Implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential project risks
- Prepare and maintain project budgets, tracking expenses and providing regular updates to stakeholders
- Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of milestones
- Facilitate team collaboration and communication to foster a positive work environment and achieve project objectives
- Utilize Agile methodologies where appropriate to enhance project delivery and flexibility
- Lead change management processes to ensure smooth transitions during project phases
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the construction industryProven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projectsStrong knowledge of general contracting (GC) principles and construction best practicesExcellent leadership and communication skillsFamiliarity with stakeholder management and risk management techniquesExperience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocationAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholdersCertifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile) are a plusBenefits
