Job Summary

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. The RN ensures a sterile and safe environment in the OR, collaborates closely with surgeons and surgical teams, and supports optimal patient outcomes through expert clinical skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeons during operative procedures by handling instruments, controlling bleeding, and maintaining a sterile field.
• Monitor patient condition throughout the surgical process, including anesthesia monitoring and vital signs.
• Ensure adherence to sterile technique and infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate surgical documentation and patient records using electronic charting systems.
• Provide post-operative care and education to patients and families as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical and support teams to ensure safe and efficient case flow.
