MK2 Engineers is looking for an exceptional individual to fill our growing electrical department's Electrical Design Engineer role.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications :

  • Experience in a US-based A / E firm or design-build contractor
  • EIT license
  • BSEE degree from an accredited university

Desired Requirements and Qualifications :

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication coupled with strong organizational and people skills
  • Expertise in electrical system design and electrical design software
  • Proficiency in California electrical codes, Title 24 Energy Standards, NEC, and NFPA
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Revit experience is a plus

    • Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :

  • Responsible for concepts and documentation from schematic through construction administration phases
  • Design of electrical power and lighting systems for new construction, retrofits, and system upgrades
  • Electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, short circuit study
  • Prepare and document required code research for projects
  • Prepare specifications, technical reports, and system narratives
  • Site investigations, field visits, and construction support services
  • Oversee QA / QC process of projects, including drafting
  • Interface with team members of other disciplines in our integrated collaborative environment
  • Client and consultant interface - coordinate with consulting architect, civil and structural engineers
