Maintenance Planner

Large manufacturing company is looking for a maintenance planner for one of their facilities outside of Cambridge, MD.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Planner expedites the flow of work and materials within the maintenance department according to work orders and the production schedule. Their duties include reviewing and distribution of work orders, and schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and maintenance problems.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

• Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes, in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
• Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.
• Requisitions and maintains inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet maintenance demands.
• Distribute maintenance schedules and work orders to departments.
