Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Design and layout sprinkler systems using specialized CAD software packages that are based on the AutoCAD platform
 - Coordinate sprinkler system piping with other building Perform hydraulic calculations.
 - Read and interpret construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts
 - Interpret and apply applicable NFPA standards to the design and / or layout of the sprinkler systems based on the building type, construction type, hazard classification and architectural features
 - Perform field check of completed design to verify accuracy, if required
 - Work closely with the Estimation department, Design Manager, and Operations Manager to review the scope sheet and requirements of each project
 - Coordinate projects to meet delivery dates
 - Communicate with AHJs, contractors, and other trades
 - Coordinate with team members for listing of required
 - Coordinate with team members for permitting and inspection
 - Actively participate in predesign and review meetings
 - Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures and quality
 - Adhere to company safety policies and procedures to ensure all duties are performed in a safe and professional manner.
 - Provide outstanding customer service
 - Other duties as assigned
 
Knowledge :
High School diploma or GED is requiredMust have experience with designing fire sprinkler systemsKnowledge of NICETWork Experience :
Minimum Experience : 2+ years Fire Protection Design experience or a Fire Sprinkler Design DegreeSkills and Competencies :
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is HydraCAD or SprinkCAD is preferred.Visualizes 3D concepts and solves basic mathematic problems, including geometry and algebra.Proficient in interpreting and applying applicable NFPA standards, and in reading and interpreting construction documentsNICET Level I - IV certification is requiredMust obtain and retain any licenses that are required by national, state / province, and local codes.Experience with a variety of system types and manufacturersStrong knowledge of industry codes such as IFC, NFPA, IBC, and NECAbility to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawingsAbility to maintain accurate and auditable recordsAbility to work in a fast-paced service / construction team environmentAttention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and qualityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to travel as neededPhysical Requirements
