Job descriptionWork under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, provide sensory integration, motor patterns and awareness of the external environment Develop / improve individual’s ability to independently perform tasks Serve as member of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team for students with occupational therapy concerns Facilitate goals and objectives per child’s educational plan Maintain appropriate records Work in coordination with school personnel and parents to develop appropriate programs for eligible students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Effectively communicate with teachers, administrators, and parents Perform other COTA duties / responsibilities required by the Program and within the scope of licensure and / or certification Ensure all services are performed in accordance with state laws and regulations Paid Time Off, with flat and accruing options so you can rest as needed Multiple medical & supplemental benefit options; from RBPs to PPOs, you're covered Professional Liability Coverage so you can focus with peace of mind Company sponsored Short-Term Disability, with additional options for long-term disability & critical illness Day-1 401(k) options with discretionary company match options Up to $500 Professional Development allowance for items including subscriptions, education materials, classroom materials and more. We’re seeking a talented, Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based services team in Richardson, Texas.
Professional License Requirements :
Associate’s degree from an accredited OTA program.
National certification through NBCOT.
Texas state licensure (or in process).
CPR certification.
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
What to expect from this role :
Experience working in schools or with children is a plus but not required.
