Responsibilities

• Observe and follow Ormat's environmental and operational rules, procedures and guidelines.
• Strictly adhere to and enforce safety procedures as required by ORMAT, CAPP, and OSHA.
• Welding and fabrication of pipe spools, flanges, fittings and structural items.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical equipment to support plant operations.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Provide recommendations for improvements.
• Operate a vehicle in a safe manner, read and understand maps, and remain alert while driving for extended periods.
• Work weekends and holidays when necessary; work overtime as required.
• Travel extensively to other locations, including rural areas and other states to work on projects.
• When assigned as Mechanical Maintenance Technician 2 or 3 : operate a forklift, crane, and / or a backhoe.
