The Hinckley Company, known for building and servicing, strong, seaworthy and beautiful yachts is seeking a Process Engineer focusing on composites for our production facility in Trenton, Maine.

Key Responsibilities :

• Process Design and Optimization : Developing and optimizing manufacturing processes from start to finish, including workflow, equipment layout, and operational procedures.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving : Identifying and resolving issues that arise during production, including equipment malfunctions, process inefficiencies, and quality control problems.
• Process Improvement : Continuously analyzing existing processes and implementing changes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Equipment Evaluation and Selection : Assessing the suitability of existing equipment for new processes and recommending or designing new equipment as needed.
• Quality Control : Ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration : Working closely with other engineers, production teams, and management to implement process improvements and ensure smooth operations.
• Documentation and Reporting : Creating and maintaining process documentation, including standard operating procedures and test results, and preparing reports for management.
• Safety Compliance : Ensuring that all processes and equipment adhere to safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
• Data Analysis : Collecting and analyzing data related to production, efficiency, and quality to identify areas for improvement.
• Project Management : Managing projects related to process improvement, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions.
• Research and Development : Conducting research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Cost Reduction : Identifying opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs through process optimization and waste reduction.
