Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Montour Falls, NY 14865 (New York nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Med / Surg Acute Care Unit

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (May 19, 2024 – August 18, 2024)

Shift : 12-hour day shifts

Hours per Week : 48 guaranteed

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,950 - $2,090 per week

Employment Type : Travel RN, On-Site

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license – New York State RN license preferred

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience in an acute care setting

BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)

Strong clinical assessment, patient care, and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med / Surg Acute Care Unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to medical treatments

Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed

Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and clinical support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance

Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all patients
