Job Description : Registered Nurse – Wound & Ostomy Care (Onsite)\n\nLocation : Kings County, NY\nSchedule : Monday – Friday | 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM | 8-hour shifts\nType : Full-Time | 5 Days / Week\n\nPosition Summary\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) care. The RN will be responsible for performing comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and providing advanced clinical support in managing wounds, ostomies, and continence-related conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of clinical expertise, collaboration, and patient education skills.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n

• Conduct focused health assessments and interviews related to wound, ostomy, and continence care.\n
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans based on clinical findings.\n
• Recommend appropriate medications, treatments, and preventive interventions.\n
• Assess and document patient responses to wound care and ostomy treatments.\n
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team and refer to other specialties as appropriate.\n
• Provide staff and patient education related to wound management, ostomy care, and prevention of pressure injuries.\n
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital-wide performance activities.\n
• Assist in the development and revision of standards of care and selection of equipment and supplies.\n
• Ensure culturally competent patient, family, and staff education aligned with individual beliefs and values.\n
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and organizational policies.\n
• Support asset management related to specialty beds and negative pressure wound therapy equipment.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med / Surg experience.\n
• Strong clinical experience in wound and colostomy care.\n\nEducation\n
• Associate's Degree (ASN or ADN) in Nursing from an accredited program (Bachelor's preferred).\n\nLicensure & Certifications\n
• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required).\n
• AHA BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).\n
• One of the following Wound Care Certifications (current and valid) : \n
• Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) – WOCNCB\n
• Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) – WOCNCB\n
• Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) – WOCNCB\n
• Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) – ABWM\n
