  • Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse position at Paris Regional Medical Center.
  • Facility is a 154 bed hospital serving Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma.
  • Level 3 Trauma Center and Level 1 NICU.
  • Joint Commission Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI.
  • Advanced Primary Stroke Care Center.
  • Top 5% for nation's orthopedic outcomes.
  • Position involves post anesthesia care for various surgery specialties.
  • Patient population includes all except neonates.
  • Common diagnoses and treatments involve post anesthesia care.

    • Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of PACU experience required.
  • Preferred ICU experience is a plus.
  • Required education : ADN RN; must have certification / licensure to work as an RN in Texas.

    • Schedule Information

  • Shift : Days with various start times.
  • Weekly guaranteed hours : 36-40 hours.
  • Weekend hours : On call in rotation with the PACU crew.
  • Call requirements : On call in rotation with the PACU crew.

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Unit : Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
  • Number of beds : 8.
  • Patient population : All except neonates.
  • Supervisor : Director of Surgical Services.
  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS.
  • Float to Pre-op required.
  • Patient ratios : 2 : 1.
  • Equipment : vital signs monitor, IV pumps, airway management, crash carts.
  • EHR systems : Meditech, TigerConnect.
